Active Business Group attend Kings Hall Business Expo

Active Business Group attended the business networking event at the Kings Hall in Herne Bay. The day proved to be a great success with the group benefiting as a whole as well as individuals managing to generate business leads to follow up also. No doubt the group will be looking to do similar events in the near future.

Active Business Group in the Army
A sponsored event in favour of Pilgrims Hospices saw a full day including lunch, an army presentation and an early evening with light supper. It was held at the Ashford Barracks. Some of the challenges our team tackled included, observation skills, assembling a clock whilst wearing a decontamination suit, shooting skills, a bard test and putting together and dismantling a gun. We also managed to win the team trophy!

Active Business Group trip to the Brewery
Tuesday 9th June @ 7pm
The evening consists of a full guided brewery tour. Tour will last approx 1.5 hours followed by a meal and drinks from the bar which first drink is included.

Choice of hot menu or cold buffet

Hot Menu - Choose from one of the following for the whole group as not available as individual order:

A casserole of beef and mushroom cooked with spitfire ale,
parsley potatoes and carrots

Smoked haddock and prawns bound in a rich veloute sauce
topped with creamy mash potato

Homemade chilli con carne with rice and pitta bread

Succulent chicken breast cooked in Whitstable Bay ale topped with
Kentish potatoes served with seasonal vegetables

A provisional booking has already been made and to have exclusive use of the visitors centre for the evening we need to have at least 30 people.

This is a great evening out and a real opportunity to take clients, friend’s wife’s, and partners for an evening out with a twist.

Cost of brewery tour exclusive use of visitors centre and food is:

£22.25 For hot food and £23.50 for buffet

Active Business Group annual karting Grand Prix at Lydd International Raceway
Friday 14th August @ 1pm
A full grand prix will consist of a drivers briefing, all safety equipment including race suits gloves & helmets, marshalls and race director, race timings & printouts, commentary and presentation: 3 x 6 lap heats 1 x 12 lap semi final & 1 x 18 lap final
The circuit can run up to 14 karts at a time so it would be a full afternoon & early evening event. Prize giving and a pint or 2 will be held in the heron bar after the event.
